By accessing or using World 18 ("the Service"), including the world18.org website and the World 18 game server, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Not Affiliated with Jagex
World 18 is an independent fan-made project. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Jagex Ltd. in any way. RuneScape and Old School RuneScape are registered trademarks of Jagex Ltd.
This Service is provided for entertainment purposes by fans, for fans. All game assets remain the property of their respective owners.
2. Account Rules
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. Do not share your password. We will never ask for your password.
Account restrictions:
- One person per account; account sharing is not permitted
- Multiple accounts ("alts") are allowed but may not be used to circumvent game rules
- Accounts are non-transferable and may not be sold or traded
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account
3. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use bots, macros, auto-clickers, or any form of automation
- Exploit bugs or glitches — report them instead
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other players or staff
- Use offensive or inappropriate usernames
- Engage in real-world trading (RWT) — buying or selling in-game items for real money
- Attempt to hack, disrupt, or compromise the Service
- Impersonate staff members
- Advertise other private servers
- Scam other players
4. Game Mode Selection
When you first log in, you choose a game mode. This choice is permanent and cannot be changed. Choose carefully — we do not offer game mode changes under any circumstances.
5. Enforcement and Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or permanently ban accounts that violate these Terms, without prior notice or refund. Decisions regarding bans are final.
We may also terminate or modify the Service at any time, for any reason, without notice.
6. Virtual Items
All in-game items, currency, and progress are virtual and have no real-world value. You do not own any in-game items; you are granted a limited license to use them within the Service.
We may modify, remove, or reset in-game content at our discretion, including during server wipes, economy resets, or updates.
7. No Warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
While we maintain regular backups, we cannot guarantee that your progress will never be lost due to technical issues.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, World 18 and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
9. Donations
Any donations made to support the Service are voluntary and non-refundable. Donations do not purchase in-game items or advantages — they are contributions to server costs and development.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the Netherlands.
